The episode commences with a disagreement between Vidya and Mahadev. Vidya asserts that she is not singling him out for errors, but rather highlighting that everyone is fallible. She proceeds to state that Mahadev has adopted a controlling demeanor, akin to Bhanu. Mahadev vocalizes Vidya’s name, to which Vidya reciprocates, causing a stir among those present. Mogra subtly expresses her contentment. Dheeraj intervenes, requesting a cessation of the argument and attempting to pacify Vidya. However, Vidya rebukes him, advising against interference in a marital dispute. Mahadev retorts, denying their marital status and accusing her of causing him to betray her family, who had previously saved her life. This revelation stuns Vidya and the entire family, while Mogra maintains a pleased expression.
Vidya challenges Mahadev’s decision to sever their relationship due to perceived dishonesty. She further confronts him regarding his assistance to Rajji on the night of her scooter’s breakdown, drawing a parallel to her own aid to Rajji when she found her unconscious at the hotel. Mahadev, in turn, defends his actions by asserting that Vidya concealed the truth from him, specifically by bringing their adversary’s daughter into their family as a daughter-in-law. Vidya then questions whether he has considered the reasons behind the family members’ secrecy, attributing it to his perpetual anger. She cites the examples of Ashish and Ketan, who withheld information from him, leading one to alcoholism and the other to elope with Narmada. She concludes by stating that he has become akin to Bhanu. Mahadev, visibly affected, proposes a family vote to determine the validity of Vidya’s claims versus his own. Vidya implores him to reconsider this course of action, but Mahadev remains resolute in his decision.
Satya intervenes to prevent Kamakshi from taking a stance and implores Mahadev to reconsider his decision. However, Mahadev remains resolute, leading Satya to withdraw from the situation without aligning with either party. Kamakshi subsequently attributes blame to Vidya and aligns herself with Mahadev. Mogra then enters, holding Rajji responsible for the current household discord, prompting Narmada to defend Rajji. Mogra later apologizes to Vidya and also aligns with Mahadev, taking Ashish with her. She then presents Narmada with an ultimatum, requiring her to choose between Vidya and Mahadev. Narmada, Dheeraj, and Rajji all appeal for a change in their decision. Rajji further requests that Vidya and Mahadev penalize her rather than create a family division, but Narmada asserts that Rajji is an integral part of the family and therefore should not be subjected to punishment.
Vidya has expressed her agreement with Mahadev’s voting decision, irrespective of the outcome. Mahadev then requested Narmada to align herself, and Narmada chose to support Vidya. This decision caused some irritation for Mogra. Narmada informed Ketan that she would not pressure him to choose a particular side, leading Ketan to align with Mahadev, which displeased Narmada but pleased Mogra. Subsequently, Dheeraj apologized to Vidya and also sided with Mahadev, much to Narmada’s surprise. Mogra appeared quite satisfied with these developments.
Precap: Rajji holds Mogra and Lajwanti responsible for the family’s circumstances, but Vidya intervenes, striking Rajji and attributing all issues to her, which pleases Mogra.
Our take: Mogra’s flying high because her plan worked out, but she doesn’t know her truth will come out soon. She better start getting ready for the consequences when it does. Mahadev’s stubbornness is messing up the family’s peace. It’s sad that Vidya only has Narmada on her side.
